James Ward's marriage to Dorcas Helen Backshall 1905 Kensington
« on: Thursday 09 July 20 12:44 BST (UK) »
Hi

Looking for any info re James Ward.
If there was a copy of his marriage registry with age and father's name anywhere that would be great.
Marriage registration was 3Q 1905 Kensington ref 1a 433.
I believe he died in 1908/09.
His wife Dorcas was a widow as recorded in the 1911 Census.

Thanks
Roger

Marriage-locator.co.uk isn't finding the particular church?
Says it's located between entries for Notting Hill St Mark (RD: Kensington) and Fulham All Saints (RD: Fulham).

Which seems to suggest that it's a Register Office wedding?
If so, your only solution is to buy a copy of the certificate.

I thought it might be a long shot especially with the real lack of info.

Cheers.

Could well be but couldn't say for sure.

Buying copies of registrations looks the way to go.

Cheers.
