Looking for half sibling , Glasgow.
« on: Thursday 09 July 20 23:03 BST (UK) »
Hi
I’m looking for a half sister who I believe was born in Glasgow between 1969 and 1972.
I only know the mothers  Christian name and I believe my father is the father. Where do I start?
My father has dementia so that is not an option. I have list of 50 or so births in the above criteria with my fathers surname.
Do I need to get a copy of every one to glean more information?

Welcome to Rootschat

Unless you know differently - the child may have been registered under the mothers surname.  You don't say how you obtained this info

Have you considered DNA?

The website to use for searching for births in Scotland is www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk but without knowing the mothers surname that is not an option.  If your father has a common surname then you are going to struggle with so little info

Do your father or mother have any living siblings who may be able to help with info?
