Hi

I would be grateful for any help to find James Albert Ventin Born 1859 High Littleton, Somerset and his son Albert James Ventin born 1889 Shanklin Isle of Wight on the 1901 census,

and also just James Albert Ventin on the 1891 Census, I have his son on this census living with the Hayles family on the IOW described as a nurse child.

I have the following census information already:

James Albert Ventin
1861 High Littleton, Somerset
1871 Farmborough, Clutton
1881 Farmborough, Clutton
1888 he Marries in Reading Ellen Gertrude Habgood
1889 Son Albert James Ventin born Shanklin Isle of Wight
1890 His Wife Ellen Gertrude Ventin Dies
1891 Can't find on census
1891 Dec Qtr he remarries in Haverfordwest an Elizabeth Bevans
1901 Cant find father or son, Elizabeth Ventin is living in Haverfordwest described as Married with a
        new son Arthur Dudley Bevan Ventin living with her but no husband.
1911 James Albert Ventin & Albert James Ventin living together in Bath, James Albert Ventin
        describes himself as a widower, but Elizabeth is still living.

School admission 3 Dec 1894. Albert James Ventin. Parent -- Ventin. address Upper Market St born 8/89.   Fenton School, Haverfordwest

1891 - James is also in Brading/Shanklin,living at Landguard Lodge, as a gardener and bailiff domestic servant

Ancestry has transcribed him as Tenten - image looks like Fenten. Born High Littleton, aged 30

Reference is RG12; 893; 78; 26;

Thanks for the newspaper & school info, will check it out.

Thanks Mabel for tracking him down in 1891 brilliant work, now found him on the other well known site in 1891 transcribed as 'Perthen' !!!!

I'm still looking for them in 1901, but realise I need to be much more creative in my search!

Hi,

In 1891 son Albert is on the page before James, transcribed at Ancestry as Bertice VENTRIN,  looks like it could be Bertie VENTIN,


1891  RG12/893  f.78  p25  Civil Parish: Brading,  Isle of Wight
Languard Road
Whitecross  ?

Bertie VENTIN    Nurse Child    S    18months    IOW Shanklin


Living in the household of Thomas HAYLES.
