Ashby de la Zouche Union Workhouse records
« on: Saturday 11 July 20 10:51 BST (UK) »
Hello,

I wish to ask whether anyone has any copies of Ashby de la Zouch Union Workhouse records between 1836 and 1841 and would be willing to look up a name, please?

I know it's a 'long shot', but I'm trying to find out whether any girls or women with the surname Primmer (sometimes listed as Primer) were either admitted or died there during these years.

Thank you.

Such records will be at Leicestershire, Leicester & Rutland Record Office.

www.workhouses.org.uk has a list of Long-term inmates, taken in 1861?

Thank you very much for your reply.

I will plan to take a trip to Leicestershire Records Office sometime in the future. I'd like to view the records for the 1830s.

Thanks again.

You should be able to see possible mentions of their deaths on the GRO index between late 1837 and 1841.  There does not appear to be any possible entries for that period.
