Death certificate

A friend sent me a photo of a headstone.  Listing those buried there it also commemorates Frederick Marsh

Marsh died on board S. S. Sybia, April 1895

Inital thoughts was that the boat sunk, but sadly only Marsh lost his life and buried at sea

Would a death certificate been issued

He fell from a platform and fell into the bilges whilst working as a third engineer on a voyage between Tampa and Hamburg on 13 Apr 1895. Newspaper reports give the ships name as S.S. Sybil.

From the Deaths at Sea register:
Fred Marsh aged 27 born Swansea, death recorded as 13 April 1895
The ship's name was the Sybil
Archive reference BT 334 Box   0012 Page   14
James Stott c1775-1850. James was born in Yorkshire but where? He was a stonemason and married Elizabeth Archer (nee Nicholson) in 1794 at Ripon. They lived thereafter in Masham. If anyone has any suggestions or leads as to his birthplace I would be interested to know. I have searched for it for years without success. Thank you.
