Doggy paddle anyone?
« on: Sunday 12 July 20 16:54 BST (UK) »
excellent news re swimming pool opening -

overtaking in the pool (chance would be a fine thing!!) forbidden as is the Butterfly Stroke -

no 'bombing' , pushing , smoking , shouting etc (no prize for guessing what the 'etc' includes !!)

I would guess pools with chlorine or disinfectant to be extremely safe places - it will be the changing areas that are the 'danger' zones.

Apart from the overtaking and butterfly stroke these are normal regulations in my local pool, along with running along the poolside. Despite the chlorine I don't think I'd want to share a pool with someone who had Covid. I completely agree about the changing areas - lack of opportunity for social distancing, touching shower controls, doors and door handles, lockers, hairdryers....

Just another 'freedom' that I'll be giving a miss.  :(
