Glasgow street query

Hi Folks,

Anyone have any idea where Ropework Lane would have been? I'm looking at a date around the 1870's and I imagine it would have been fairly inner-city.

Thanks Osprey, that would be exactly right for the family I am looking at, the father's parents were living in the Briggait at that time, so he would have been very close. Thanks again.

It seems it was previously known as Old Green or Great Clyde Street (location of Town's Hospital and Poorhouse).

Thanks Monica, that's a little before the time period I am looking at but it is interesting to see that old map anyway. I've driven up that little street quite a few times, going to Slater's the tailor shop but never knew its name.
