Since Susanna was on parish relief 1851 the Essex Record Office could help with Poor Law Records.

Even though you may not be able to find record of the John Perry/Susanna Brown marriage,  there is surely enough circumstantial evidence to confirm that they were a pair and that John was almost certainly the son of Ferdinand.

In 1851 Susanna's husband is described as a cordwainer (shoemaker) and from information given in your other thread, you know John was a shoemaker. In 1851  Susanna has with her a child, Fardinand. It is almost beyond reason to think that was a name chosen at random.

It is unfortunate that there are two threads on the same general subject running in parallel.

Could be Susan / Susanna Perry in 1861. working as servant, still recorded as married. Visitors look like her  daughter Ellen - now married with husband and child

John Perry was born on 5 Aug and baptised on 30 Nov 1806 at Stondon Massey, s/o Ferdinand Perry and Mary his wife. It doesn't give Ferdinand's occupation. Some transcriptions say Jeremiah not Ferdinand, but although a bit faint the register says Ferdinand.
