iPad problem
« on: Monday 13 July 20 10:14 BST (UK) »
I have a new IPad and wanted to send my iPad 2 back to factory settings. When freeserve finished I switched to gmail. I can’t remember how long after but I started to get a pop up asking for my freeserve password. I tried the password I had written down and other possibilities but nothing worked. I ended up just clicking the “later” option and away I went with no problems.

Now however it won’t revert back to factory settings without the freeserve password. Does anyone have any suggestions how I can get over this?

Many thanks.

Have you tried deleting the freeserve account from the listed email accounts

The factory reset normally doesn’t need anything more than your Apple ID and Apple password

Unfortunately when I try to delete freeserve, it insists on knowing the password.

You may have to use recovery mode on the iPad (holding the home button and power button until you see the recovery screen) and then connect the iPad to a computer with iTunes installed. (The method of accessing the recovery mode does vary depending upon which generation of iPad you are working on )

Using iTunes you should then be able to Reset the ipad
