28 Loveday Street, Birmingham, UK. 1956.
« on: Monday 13 July 20 12:08 BST (UK) »
My brother Peter Griffiths was born at this hospital on 28th December 1956, where he died two hours later, from intracranial haemorrhage.
His parents lived in Stirchley at the time, in Cartland Road.
I was had as a replacement.
As was the way back then, the cure for grief was never to talk of these things.  All I know is that he had his own, tiny, white coffin, which my father carried at the funeral service himself.
I know absolutely nothing else.
I'm getting older now, and have spent so many years trying to find out where Peter was buried or cremated, to no avail.  Our parents are deceased. I want to find Peter, if not where he is, then where he was.  I want to say goodbye to the brother I've never yet said hello to.
I've scoured websites, written to churches (most of which don't reply) and can find nothing.
If anyone can help I'd be eternally grateful.

You may find some info here.  There is a possibility the hospital may have been involved

I wonder were there any other relatives, aunts or uncles that lived in the same area at the time that might be able to help?

Good luck  :)

If he was cremated but not buried then it won't be registered as an interment.
The Crematoria indexes are kept by the Crematoria &/or the Cemetery.
You will need to contact the Cemetery/Crematoria & ask for a search.
My first port of call would be Brandwood End.
