Alexander Blues and Charlotte Duncan

James Blues died 27 July 1884 Arbirlot aged 82 and born Tannadice.
The SP death cert. image gives Jame's parents as Alexander Blues and Charlotte Duncan.
I am looking for any information on these parents and particularly their marriage.

Can you give me any further detail about this tree which you refer to please. I have not yet tied this info. to my James, Alexander and Charlotte.
I have found Mary Blues nee Johnston on SP. Her death Cert. image says she died on 8 Sept. 1857 age 72 in Dundee as the widow of a shipmaster. The informant was her son J Blues of 144 Seagate (I assume Dundee)

I have been digging further in parallel with you and have found that Alexander was in fact a Farm Labourer.
The SP death cert. images for two of James' siblings:

Charlotte 1815-1861 shows father Alex as an Agricultural labourer, mother Charlotte Duncan
Margaret 1824-1893 shows father Alex as a Farm labourer mother, Charlotte Duncan

Margaret's age is recorded as 64 at 17 Dec 1893 but I have her born 19 Jan 1824 which would make her 69. This in turn means her mother Charlotte b 18 June 1775 was either 48 or 53ish when she had Margaret??

Alexander was born in 1816, not 1818.
