I know its been a while since this post was put up but can confirm the parents of David LOVIE b 8 March 1829 (there is no baptism date) witnesses at his baptism were John COWIE and John LOVIE both in Whitehills.  Parents were James LOVIE and Hannah GOW
NRS: ref: OPR Vol 3 p 42a    NRS: 149/30/84 - Note: this  record for 1829 is to be found in the 1837 Vol.
