Have you seen the Harold Clarke/Sarah A Turner marriage recorded  Dec Q 1913, Macclefield? ( Free BMD).
In 1939, Harold Clarke, b 1890, was living at 10 Shaw Street, Macclesfield, apparently on his own.( Find my past 1939 Index)
A Sarah A Clarke, age 43, died Macclesfield  Sep Q 1935.

All conjecture, but does any of it match with what you already know?

Are you querying the 1913 marriage because Harold's father is only named as Charles and not Charles Henry?  It may very well be that Harold was not aware that his father had a second forename.

Do you know for certain that Harold married Sarah Turner in 1913?

Do you know for certain that his father was Charles?

If yes to both - As long as the marriage cert shows at least the main christian name of his father why do you think there is any problem?

I agree that the lack of a father's middle name on a marriage cert is not enough to discount it, though the marriage cert will give Harold's age and occupation, his Dad's occupation and witnesses names  may help to confirm it.

Free BMD search births, from 1913 to 1939
Surname Clarke, Mother’s maiden name Turner
Specify Maccclesfield District

Just 4 results  : Winifred (1914),  Elsie (1920), Margaret (1923), Dora (1929)

Brentnor boy mentioned an index entry for the 1939 register, I’d advise you to look at the image. Though I can’t post the details as its against Rootschat rules, I believe there was a family of 5 in that household, not one person on his own, and the image is quite likely to confirm a lot of the above info.

Do check all of this outcarefully, we can offer likely records/scenarios but its your family so only you can decide
