Pharma!
Who on earth would make those accusations!
I am not asking, it is private ,but truly it is not for anyone to say such things
especially as I can’t imagine them having any cast iron proof.
Why did you not deserve a lazy day on Thursday! You’d had a heavy couple of days .
If you are not fair to yourself ,and no one knows but you exactly how tired you are etc ,you will give off the wrong body language then others will not be fair either.
Right, you had two very heavy days ,got a bad “ welcome” on Wednesday so had a well deserved relaxing day on Thursday,when you and smaller child  had sorted photographs for family tree write up.
She would have liked to go to where they were taken .
Older daughter first day back at group training ,with new safety rules ,
No time to go home and back again  so my younger daughter was a bit bored in the car.

It is nice to see you posting again.
Look after yourself, we know you are doing valuable work for which I for one thank you.

PharmaT - don't pay heed to such people.  Tell whoever it was that as you run a household, look after two daughters and go out to work this is in no way true that a lazy label can be applicable to you.
Be kind to yourself too in how you talk about and think of yourself.  Having a break/rest from work is not something to be deserved it is absolutely essential if we are to prevent burnout.  So don't feel guilty about having a lazy day after all your hard work.  I am one of those people who believe God knew what he was doing when he scheduled in a day of rest!  Mind, I know myself that sometimes this feels easier said than done and it can be tempting to keep going rather than fit in the rest that we need.

Re: My Grandson - yes, perhaps being a doctor might turn out to be a future career for him (his Mammy is a nurse) or perhaps he might turn out to be a policeman, fireman or even a superhero. .  Wanting to be superhero seems to run in the family.  When my son was little he nearly wore a superman out to a rag and as a child I used to tie a net curtain around my neck and call myself Batgirl. I will never forget 'flying' off a high brick wall and completely knocking myself out when I landed on my head.  I didn't tell my parents as I realised that I had been very naughty in not abiding by the Batman programmes telling you at the end not to copy things.  We will have to be careful that Grandson doesn't get carried away like I did.

Pharma - I agree with everything that RTL and Viktoria have said.... you really mustn't beat yourself up all the time... just try to ignore these stupid people who come out with comments like this, it's quite unforgivable. Like RTL you are both doing a really important worth while and laudable job and certainly deserve some peace and rest when not at work. Ontop of which you have your two daughters to look after.... you have plenty to feel good about yourself honestly.

RTL - I did have a smile thinking of you with a net curtain tied round your neck and trying to fly off the wall.... imagination as a child is so wonderful and of course you're invincible..... I'm sure your grandson will be thrilled with his outfit and Paw Patrol is right up there with younger ones... I know mine used to lap it up...

Viktoria- glad someone else has had issues with the click clack! It's very frustrating when you fill the wash basin to then watch the water dissapear before you've even used it....
OH has now sorted it... pair of pliers worked a treat to un click the clack ... then I poured some boiling water to which I'd added some stuff you use on kettles and irons to defur them...
it smelt awful really catches in your throats but seems to have done the trick....
We've got hard water here and limescale is the bain of my life....
As for Yorkshire tea... it's got to be the most awful stuff going.... I know exactly what you mean!
I'm a Ceylon tea drinker... Orange pekoe being my favourite... when visited Sri Lanka and went to a tea plantation up in the hills where it was cool and gardens there very English... the tea from the first picked leaves tasted like heaven and nothing like the stuff in tea bags at all....
Bit like Chinese food.. what's served here bears no resemblance to what they eat out in China... which is a good thing in many ways as it's quite un appetising mostly... the only holiday we went on where we lost weight...
yes, we did watch the Yorkshire Farm programmes and thoroughly enjoyed them.... down to earth, hard working folk who just love what they do and the animals they keep.

Oh yes, the tea plantations in Sri Lanka..... we stayed at one which had a tartan theme.  Such olde worlde elegance! 
.... and the food in China! ....Thank goodness we were on a boat a lot of the time and had a choice of food.

RTL, I shouldn't be smiling at your flying escapade.   
I thought only boys did that sort of thing.
Thank goodness you didn't have any serious repercussions.

Viktoria, I am disheartened to know I spent lots of money on preparations to turn my "silver wings" back to the almost black of the rest, when I could have used YT and got the same orange result. Enjoy your scones.

Oh! Broken  Orange Pekoe,
My OH went for his company ,to Colombo, he loved it ,much more than India where he had also been on that occasion.
He brought back a small tea chest ,about a 10 inch cube,foil lined and full of the rather large tea leaves.
But what a lovely flavour ,we could buy it from a specialist tea shop in Manchester’s Royal Exchange Barton Arcade.
Long since gone.
I like Earl Grey but gradually Twinings ‘ has become devoid of flavour .
Their Breakfast tea is also a strong orange brew ,So I must find another.
Oh dressing up, what fun.
Bet you did not have an orange  lanpshade  fringe about oooh 18 “ long( it grows every time I tell this story) to wrap around your head, wearing possibly your grandma’s false teeth over your own——— found whilst “ rooting” in your mother’s dressing table drawers,with a full length mirror behind you so you could see in the DT mirrors just how devastatingly lovely you were!
That lampshade fringe was just NOT my Mum’s taste .
Prancing around to old gramophone records , on a wind up Columbia player
given to us by an old neighbour ,plus records.
Dame  Clara Butt singing “ Goodbye for ever”—- I am sure she was a man !

One of the best get ups I ever saw was a little boy in the reception class.

My old net curtains which were metres and metres long ( big windows)

We invited him to read to the Head,just for an excuse to let the Head see him.Well Meghan Markle’s train had nothing on my curtains ,the child was in the office reading and the curtains were still in the corridor ,hadn’t turned the corner  past the toilets yet!
How the Head kept his face straight I don’t know.
Such a happy school .
Kids have ready made outfits nowadays ,but imagination is marvellous .

Don’t tell us it was toilet paper and comb!
