Daniel Joseph Bruyn's grave says he was 69 when he died in 1882 which says he was born c. 1813 https://austcemindex.com/inscription?id=15690305#images Daniel was also 43 when he arrived in Australia in 1856.

That Family Tree link is also wrong as it has a reference at the top "•New South Wales Government. Returns of convicts applications for wives and families to be brought to New South Wales at Government expense. Series 1190, Reel 699. State Records Authority of New South Wales, Kingswood, New South Wales"

Daniel Joseph Bruyn and his wife Sarah Helen Nicholls and family arrived as Assisted Immigrants on the Commodore Perry 1 May 1856 (they were not convicts and no application was made),  Sarah's son before the marriage arrived as Joseph Nicholls with his wife and two daughters on the Daphne in 1859 also as Assisted Immigrants. Joseph his wife and children then changed their Surname to Bruyn and lived as Bruyn.
