Missing Hallworth Family.

William Hallworth was born in Poynton, Cheshire in Q3 1843 into a family of colliers.

On 19/8/1867 he married Elizabeth Ann Bardsley at St Mark, Dukinfield.

In 1971, they are living at 1 Mount Street, Ashton Under Lyne. He describes himself as a coal miner and she a cotton weaver. They have two children; William aged 1 and Alice H, described as "under 1" I assume, month. (Alice is stated to have been born in Attercliffe and the family did have connections in the Mexborough/Doncaster/Rotherham area)

It appears that they didn't bother to register the birth of either child - or, at least, I can find no record of it.

After the 1871? Nothing! If anyone's up for a challenge, I'd be grateful for some help.

There is a birth for Hannah Hallsworth , mmn Bardsley 1871 Ashton.

Cheshire BMD have the birth as Hallworth
