I looked at many maps last night and the only place that looked anything like that was Boghead, as Skoosh has said. There are two on this link. Maybe it's the northerly one as it's nearest to Applegarthtown:

Add - it might be worth panning around the map in that area to see if there's anything closer.

This one is interesting.
https://maps.nls.uk/view/74400224
It shows Boghead as being in Dryfesdale parish.

And this one
https://maps.nls.uk/geo/explore/#zoom=14&lat=55.16892&lon=-3.34417&layers=4&b=1
shows Balgray as Bagry.
Never trust anything you find online (especially submitted trees and transcriptions on Ancestry, MyHeritage, FindMyPast and other commercial web sites) unless it's an image of an original document - and even then be wary because errors can and do occur.

It doesn't really look like any of the ones so far. Are there any baptisms to the couple that might give possible info?

Balgray is near to Lammonbie and Rockalflats the other place names on the certs.
Scotland Places 1848-49 (although later) has a Robert Johnston labourer at Balgray Cottage.

The problem is that it doesn't look at all like Balgray or Bagray.  I've given 3 examples.

The proclamation and baptisms were in the late 1700s-early 1800s,. It could well be that the place disappeared.  I have ancestors who's farmtoun in Kells  disappeared from maps at this time.  It was a period of changes in leasehold in this area - see The Lowland Clearances by Peter Aitchison, 2003

Those are the same baptisms I posted. This is another. These and the parents marriage I posted earlier are the only occurrences of that name I've found, so perhaps it does no longer exist?
