It has parents as Max SILVERMAN+ jennie OSTROW

No irwin as son but there is Murray Silvers b 29 ,dec 1908 brooklyn

His sister shirley is Nok on draft papers address 238+55th street brooklyn

He has optomtrists business 831 Hamilton Allentown lehigh Pa

Also on his marriage papers fathers profession  plumber
so thers a plumber connection  too

Ive had a look at some of the original censusrs
The one spelt Selverman is that family

 Irwin was an optician from age ,18

I cant find the 1915 one but suspect levenson could be a mistrancript.

Ladie could be Sadie later known as Shirley
S often looks like L

Could alice be Alex ? * I mean Albert

There is an ancestry tree which gives Shirley Silvers - 4 July 1910 who died in San Bernardino California 4 May 1996

The California Death Index shows - Shirley S Weiss  Shirley S Silverman - 4 July 1910 New York - died 4 May 1996 San Bernardino California - Mothers Maiden Name Ginsberg - Father Silverman -

but the  U.S., Social Security Applications and Claims Index, 1936-2007 gives parents names which do not seem to tie in  so I would be sceptical of that info at the moment

I think thats the tree I looked at
The life story of max said he had a wife rose&11 children
& 3 children by someone else  but that cant be right

1910 has an elder son.Benjamin.
Irvin.is Isodor
Alex is abraham
Murray is morris
Shirley is Sadie ..too close ages to be a different family ?
Jeannie has had 6 children by then 5 living

Max seems to go through a lot of different proffessions  which doesnt help

Ok I found the 1915 where they re transcribed as levenson

So it seems to be the right family

+ it does look like Irvin and Albert were linked to gangsters
Irvin lived at New Jersey at the time of the crime
It was linked to a gang with "pretty boy Floyd"

My mum has a tiny dna link to the owner of the tree with different wives for Max so I may tryand contact her

Is it odd that muray S / maurice put his sister shirley as contact on 1940 draft paper ? They may have been twins

She was single with both her parents in 1940
