Her death notice doesn't give her maiden name, pity.

This one sounds interesting

Carey (Cork) Jan 7 1967 at St Finbarr's hospital, John beloved husband of the late Ann Carey and formerly of Ballinresig, Ballygarvan and 23 Friar's Walk. Deeply mourned by loving sons and daughters etc
St Joseph's Cemetery.

Looks like Ann/Annie died suddenly in 1 Dec 1957, death notice doesn't give any family names

So, we have deaths

1944
John Carey , 67 yrs (born about 1877) 36 Friars Walk with son Timothy at 34 Friars  WalK with wife Margaret

1967
John Carey , 85 yrs (born abt 1882) 23 Friars Walk. With wife Ann/ie.

Margaret Dawes also 23 Friars Walk.

This one seems more favourable with link to Ballinresig and Peggy Dawes.

Hi,

Its wiered i came accross this discussion, my grandmother and grandfather (Dawes) lived on friars walk (i think no.23). My Grandmother also owned a cottage in Ballinreesig. Im unsure of her maiden name but I'll try to find out.
