Thank you all for your expert help.
After being pointed out the "H" is quite different and the "M" in Mordecai doesn't have the same curly start and looking at "Memorandum" in 1813 Mar 22 the "M" and "d" are also missing the curly bits that the signature had. So maybe him but not enough to prove it.
Back to the pre 1813 hunt, new records may pop up sometime to help discover where he came from.
