James Duckworth Mawdsley.
« on: Monday 20 July 20 20:52 BST (UK) »
Hello,
I am looking for James Duckworth Mawdsley born 1881 or 1882 Liverpool, England.
I can't find a marriage for him here in England, he did travel to Canada.
I understand he committed suicide there or at what age?
Kind Regards,
Bullamore.

There is a tree on Ancestry with the right birth & parents then it goes haywire & has him marrying a Hetty in 1903 & living in Clayton Le Moors in 1911.  The 1911 entry is James Henry Mawdsley b Stacksteads!!

I have messaged the tree owner via Ancestry

Not sure if the link will work for you, but this is an article on a young Englishman named Mawdsley, age 26, in Winnipeg who self destructed in 1906:
https://archives.winnipegfreepress.com/tags/mawdsley?ndt=by&py=1906&pey=1906/

Edit: It looks a pay to view site, but there might be enough info on the description to tell if it is your man.  Someone here might be able to access a snippet for you to see if it names any family.

Edit again!  You can see the rather tragic article here (with a good description of his father, so you should be able to rule him in or out) : https://digitalcollections.lib.umanitoba.ca/islandora/object/uofm:1667403

His death certificate in Winnipeg is transcribed as Maudsley.  I don't know if you can even order it with the world in a mess right now:  http://vitalstats.gov.mb.ca/Query.php
