*An abstract of the will of William CECILL dated September 8 1545, and proved at Gloucester on the 7th November, following is here fitly introduced: William CYSELL, of the Courte of Maysemore. Dated 8 September 1545. Soul to God and to our blessed lady Saynt Mary and to all the holy company of hevyn. To be buried in the churchyard of the parish of Maysemore. To the hyaghe alter of the said church 4d. All residue to Ysabell my wyff, yf she do not marry, and she to be sole exectrux. Wyllyng and bynding her to keep my mother during hurr lyffe after an honeste sorte, and to bryng up my children..... her descrecyon. Overseer, John COKE.
