Drumgooland Civil Parish

Sometimes, the townland is shown in baptism records, but I can’t see that he has done in the ones I have looked at.

As you can see from the John Gresham site, Burns is a popular name in the civil parish.

Married in Leitrim Catholic Church in 1827, so that should narrow down the townlands.

Leitrim townland
https://www.townlands.ie/down/iveagh-upper-lower-half/drumgooland/leitrim/

Marriages would usually take place in the bride’s parish church

The Tithe Applotments Books only start at M for Leitrim Townland (maybe earlier pages lost/destroyed)

There is a Hugh Burns in a neighbouring townland - Backaderry  :-\
