Royal Navy service post WW2 - Brian Hayes
« on: Tuesday 21 July 20 17:28 BST (UK) »
This is a very long shot.

I will not be disappointed if no one can help me.

I am carrying out some research for a friend & she hasn’t given me much to go on at all..

All I have is:  Brian Hayes DOB: 1935 Winchester Hampshire.

I don’t know what ship he served on..even if he was 18 when he could have enlisted at the earliest @1953.  He could possibly have also served at Suez, Korea, Aden, possibly the Falklands War?
If I can give her something more tangible to go on, someone in her family might be able to apply for his Naval Records.

Thank you
Keith

has the process for the family to apply for his records.  They don't need to know anything about his service or his service number (despite what it says on the first page) but they do need his date of birth and his death certificate.  Check out the next of kin requirements also.

I am Zoe Northeast, granddaughter of Maximilian Double.

It is with great difficulty I share with you that in the early hours of 07 August 2021, Maximilian passed away unexpectedly but peacefully.

With deep sadness,
Zoe
