Ardgaith Bothy: John Robbie b1879

Trying to locate John Robbie after 1901 census. He was born on July 27th 1879 in East Hatton, Cargill. His mother was Janet McIntosh and father George Robbie (not married). The 1881 and 1891 census have him living with his grandparents in Coupar Angus. In 1901 he was working on Ardgaith Farm. There is no sign of him on the 1911 census. Any advice would be welcome.

This is likely him, matches the birth.

I'd previously checked that record and sadly, no, that isn't him.

There is a John Rabbie, age 33, Cortachy & Clova, Angus on 1911 census. Could this be him?

There is also a Marine Returns death of a John Dobbie, age 31, in 1911. Worth checking?

How sure are you that is your relation on the 1901 census ? Have you traced his mother after he was born ..Is this his full name John McIntosh Robbie born 1879 Cargill ..I can see him with his Grandparents on the 1881 census but not seeing him 1891

I'm starting to wonder myself. I found him on the 1891 census still living with his grandparents but now I'm not sure about 1901.

Should have added, his mother married Thomas Maguire in 1884.

The John Robbie on the 1901 census has his place of birth as Forfar  a few tree's have his parents
As a David Mitchell Robbie and a Ann Rennie .Did his mother marry in 1884 Cargill what address
Do you have for him 1891 ?
