Thank you tomkin,

I will not use this as an historical picture for the reasons you have said.  But his family will love it.  They have few photographs of him in uniform and none of them are of good quality and especially not in colour.

I don't like it Elliven , I may re-do it. I usually leave such work for a week and then

look at it again with fresh eyes. Now I look at it, it doesn't look right :( :( :(

The only thing I can see wrong is the Signals badge - he was a mechanic but I wouldn't criticise you for that

I like your other one Tomkin...I think you have done a great job, the only thing I would add would be a pale blue shirt and a black tie and swap the signals half brevet for the right initial and put it on the left side above the medal ribbons   ;)
My Son is RAF Air Crew and always helps me out on RAF uniform ;D

Amended the previous one to make it look more realistic.  Removed the medal ribbon

because i don't know what medals he had. Removed the Signals Badge because Elliven

said he was a Mechanic, but thanks carol for your, as usual, good help and advise. :D :D :D

Thanks barryd. I saw this site but as I didn't know what role Zygmund played it didn't help much.

You could say I was flying blind ::) ::) ::) ;D ;D ;D ;D but thanks for the help mate.

That's why I say that they are not historically correct.

He did have a signals/electronics badge on his right arm in the original photo - a mech got the badge as it was for anyone in the telecoms trade.
