Lock - Holyhead Anglesey/ help with marriage etc
« on: Saturday 25 July 20 00:51 BST (UK) »
Can anyone help please. I am trying to find a marriage and other records for Albert Lock, a basket maker, Holyhead, Anglesey. Albert had 2 children by Lydia, her maiden name is recorded as Hooper then Cooper on both children's birth entries, 1 child died in infancy, the other child Doris lived until the end of the 1980s. Lydia died in 1928 aged 35, her children by Albert born 1923 and 1928 respectively. I cannot find a marriage for Albert and Lydia, looked extensively. I cannot evidence that Albert or Lydia originated from Anglesey but pretty sure they were both from North Wales. Both Doris and Sophia were born in Holyhead, Turkey Shore, in a caravan.
Thank you.

Don't forget not all couples with children were actually married just lived together as man and wife.

Did Lydia pass away under the name Lock - was Albert the informant for her death?

When was Albert born?
Hinchliffe - Huddersfield Wiltshire
Burroughs - Arlingham Glos
Pick - Frocester Glos

Doris's surname at death was Lock, she never married but had one daughter who is also deceased.

I don't know where Albert or Lydia were born and haven't yet received the death ceetificate.
