FindMyPast has lines 4 & 6 unredacted. If you know the other family members , you can probably find them with the free search on FindMyPast. Not sure how that happens but I have seen it before.

The image for the MANLEY family looks very strange to me.
see Alice A MANLEY born 25 Oct 1887  London.  Fulham. Met B.  AGEV

How might this have occured?

The mask was dragged at the pages were fed into place on the scanner and this was not noticed at the time. All the 1939 images were/are processed by Findmypast which is why these errors occur on all sites where 1939 images may be viewed. I am not sure whether Findmypast or the National Archives unredact the images when the individual had died or aged over 100 years, but I think it is FindMyPast who do this. Updated images of the relevant pages are then sent out.
I also think the redaction must be on a separate layer as these anomalies are not corrected when lines on the same page are unredacted.
Cheers
Guy

Its frustrating when you can see the entry is open, but the redaction from the line above is obscuring the info  - though the upside is that sometimes, because the redaction line is wonky, I get info about a person who is currently, technically, redacted.

I have reported a good few of them to FindMyPast over the years and they are usually very quick to rectify it.

However that correction will not be reflected on Ancestry as they each have their own image sets. Am unsure if Ancestry even have a procedure to report problems such as this.
