Skipworth, Lincolnshire.
« on: Monday 27 July 20 10:47 BST (UK) »
Looking to track down Skipworth family in Boston Lincs, My main skipworth family originated in Louth, but we had a branch move to Boston, apparently. I cannot find a connection as yet but my mother assures me, she used to go and stay with an uncle 'Earl' when she was very young from Boston, whom used to live by the river. presumably Earl was a Skipworth. Maybe my mothers wrong and forgotten over time, My Great Grandmothers brothers where Albert, Herbert, Arthur Edward, Charles and Sidney.
It's Definitely not Sidney, I definitely know of his whereabouts. The boys birthdays are between 1876 and 1886, Any help in regards this matter would be greatly appreciated.
Kind Regards.  ???

Have you looked to see if there was a birth for an Earl Skipworth?

Were there any sisters who may have married someone called Earl?

Ah might have something.

Was there a sister called Alice Mabel Skipworth born 1887?

She married a Robert Earl Semper in 1907 so maybe he was the Uncle Earl.

Birthplace for Robert - Boston 1881.  He was a railway signalman.

I didn't know where the river was so even more promising good.

He died in 1969 Boston.

Probate entry for Alice died 31 Dec 1961.  Administration to Robert Earl retired signalman.
