working through birth registrations for the children, it seems that Elizabeth's maiden name was Andrews
Lewis Williams sept qtr 1887 Pontypridd vol 11a pg 417 mmn Andrews
Benjamin Williams march qtr 1892 mmn Andrews
Richard dec qtr 1898 mmn Andrews
Tom june qtr 1900 mmn Andrews

Marriage reg David Williams march qtr 1884 Pontypridd vol 11a pg 548 with Elizabeth Andrews on the same page

If this is correct, possible 1871 census for Elizabeth with father Benjamin

Hi Osprey,

Yes, on the marriage certificate William Davies occupation is Farmer. The residence of Charlotte is Top Hill Cottage, Nelson, Glamorgan.

Interesting: on the Birth Certificate: Gwladys Charlotte Davies, and on the Marriage Certificate is Charlotte Gwladys Davies. Gwladys father is William Davies, occupation Haulier.
Wiilams father maybe John Davies, , labourer.
There is a John Davies  on 1891 census (Family Search) Top Hill, Tea Dealer age 72.

The ages people on the cenus seem to vary quite a bit.

I am confused. Is Gwladys’ father a Farmer or a Haulier?
Is occupation the same on marriage and birth?

Morning.

Gwladys Charlotte Davies, father  William is a Haulier on her Birth Certificate.

Charlotte Gwladys Davies, father William is a Farmer on the Marriage certificate.
Seems Gwladys prefers Charlotte,  as she has got older, or is it her!!

The DPW Davies (Davis) is Daniel Percy W Davies of Crickhowell, 11b 113 March 1/4 1887 (Birth)
Brecknockshire. on BDM England.

For john, pge no 21
RG 11
