Morning Carole, K Garrad, McKha489, Rosiie

The information I was given by my sister-in law who's mother was Florence Hilda Williams, (was know as Hilda.) Lewis & Gwladis Charlotte were my sister-in- law grandparents.

Yes Gwladis was married after Lewis Died as info from Rosie99.
Florence Hilda was also married twice. She move to Devon.
My sisiter- in -law is 80yrs of age, and just wanted to know who her ggrand-parents were.

So the Evans may not be Gwladys . But in 1911 Census there is a Annie Mary Evans Servant age 14  born Treharris, Glamorganshire. This may be where the Evans came form.

There are so many Williams, Davis(Davies) & Evans surnames in Wales.

Cheers,
Tweedie2

New Zealand.

Morning,

Thank you to you all for the information.

I have ordered Gwlays Charlotte Davies birth certificate.

I can't find Gwladys Charlotte on the 1891 census. If its just under Gwladys, there are so many possibilities.

Cheers

I can't find Gwladys Charlotte on the 1891 census. If its just under Gwladys, there are so many possibilities.

This is why the first step is to see the 1908 marriage certificate for Lewis and Charlotte/Gwladys.  It should give the names and occupations of both fathers so that you can find the correct census entries.

 Good Morning All,

I have Gwladys Charlotte Davies Birth Certificate.

Born  9 May 1884 Oak Street, Aberystruth,  Bedwellty, County of Monmouth.

Her parents were Mary Ann Davies, mmn Mathews  & William Davies

I will now order Gwladys & Lewis marriage certificate. (should have done  this first)

In my searching I did find Mary Ann Mathews & William Davies on family search, but the certificate
confirms. (Thank you Rosie for Mary Ann mmn)

Cheers
