Flinn, Alice Edith
« on: Tuesday 28 July 20 11:54 BST (UK) »
Alice Edith Flinn, born 1864 in Handsworth Warwickshire, never married. She wen to live in Devon where she died in June 1936 at Dawlish, Devon. She was a deaconess of the Church of England, and became Head Deaconess. (Andrews Newspaper Index Cards 1790-1976) Just wondering if there was a local obit for her, and if her parish church can be identified at all?
Many thanks

There's an obit in the Exeter and Plymouth Gazette, 29 May 1936. Buried Exwick Road Cemetery after service in the Cathedral. Described as "Deaconess Alice Flinn of the Chantry, Exeter".  Died at " the Head Deaconess's private residence Dawlish.
