Daniel Freeman born about 1850 and died 3 November 1897 St Louis Missouri.   Aged 47 years.
Native of England. Labourer. Valve disease of the heart.
Had been in St Louis for 16 years.

All city directories give occupation labourer.

Daniel says he was born in England.  However, the best candidate I have found for him is

Daniel Freeman bpt 23 June 1853 Rathnure and Templeudigan, Wexford , Ireland son of James Freeman and Bridget Doran, sponsors Martin and Mary Brennan.  Dan Freeman confirmed 2nd May 1864 age 12 Rathnure and Templeudigan, Wexford

Martin and Mary Brennan bpt a dau Ann 12/3/1854 at Rathnure & Templeudigan mothers maiden name Doran.

Daniel signed up for the army in 29/6/1872 in Bristol. Served 1872-1875 (no overseas service) , then transferred to the Royal Hospital Corps in Netley, Hants where he deserted in 1876, was captured and sentenced to 56 days hard labour.  He was discharged on medical grounds (TB) 5/11/1877 with intended place of residence Bayswater, London.

Assuming it is the same Daniel he next appears at the bpt of his dau Mary in Liverpool in 1881.

Cannot find him and/or Margaret on the 1881 census.  There is a Daniel b Staffordshire and Margaret with 2 year old Stephen in the 1881 Liverpool census.  Have checked this Dan out and don't think he is the one I am looking for.

Daniel Freeman was a labourer

Hello, my great great grandfather was Daniel Freeman. I've been looking at his and Margarets strange movements for quite awhile.
