Shipwreck
« on: Tuesday 28 July 20 18:35 BST (UK) »
My Grandfather was a merchant seaman from about 1900 to 1941. I have his discharge books and he seems to have been shipwrecked off the coast of Chile in Feb 1910 The ship was the Lima. I can’t seem to find any information He apparently told one of my cousins a tale about being in the water for 12 hours before being picked up. Anyone help

LIMA official number 124104
Her Last Crew Agreement is available from here.

Can you give us your grandfathers full name and date and place of birth. Have you searched FindMyPast for details of his service up to 1941. Sometimes details are not recorded in discharge books.
