Two Kenneth F Gilberts registered in 1929

Thanks everyone for your input a lot of info to process and work through. We also believe that he got married in 1950 in Bodmin did find info regarding it online but can’t be certain if it is him.

May be coincidence
1950 Bodmin marriage
Kenneth F Gilbert & Joan Tuff
Kenneth F Gilbert remarried 1956 Sidcup

Maybe your first step should be to get the wills of his parents, they are only £1.50 each and don't take long to arrive electronically.  They may give further information on him.

The wife of the Newton Abbot marriage appears on electoral registers in the early 2000's with one of their children in Devon.  There is a Kenneth F in the same town at that time but not registered at the same property.

The death that jonw65 found in Barnet certainly fits but he does not appear to have left a will.

In the 1957, 1958 and 1959 Kenneth and Joan are living in Thursley Road Mottingham. This could be her parents address. The electoral rolls show as Bexley on Ancestry but they’re not in Bexley. The local council until 1965 was Chislehurst and Sidcup UDC. In 1965 Chislehurst and some parts of Mottingham went into the London Borough of Bromley and Sidcup etc went into the London Borough of Bromley. For some unknown reason the electoral rolls for Chislehurst and Sidcup UDC appear. to have gone to the London Borough of Bexley.

I remember the change well suddenly I went from being in a Kent Council School to it being in the London Borough of Bromley whilst I now lived in the London Borough of Bexley. I think the dividing line for the two boroughs was the A20, I crossed it every school day.

Hi Gibel

This was my nan’s address. They were together for 3 years and then my bio grandad left and that is the last that we know of him. My dad was only 2 when he walked away. Hence why we don’t have much info on him after this
