Mapping Tool

Hi - hope this is the correct board, please advise if not.
I have a relative who was in the East India Company. I'd like to find a world map, preferably from the 1800's that I can show his voyages from the UK to the East and simply mark in the place names.
I'm not brilliant on new software and would like to draw in the voyage and mark key places visited: Teneriffe; Macau; Hong Kong; Chennai etc.
Would anyone know of such a thing. I've Googled and there seem to be one or two that might work, I guess I'm looking for recommendations.
