New DNA

Hi all,
               have just got a family member to do a Ancestry DNA test and sent it, I have had a reply from Ancestry inviting me to activate so I got in touch with my sibling and got the  activation code and sent it , my trouble is they are asking my sibling to make a free Ancestry account so that I can see the  DNA but my sibling does not want to make a account. What the heck do I do ?  has it been a waste of money?

Would your sibling be prepared to make you the Manager of their DNA test?

That way, - they wouldn't have to deal with it.

My mam, dad and auntie took their tests so I could look into their ancestry - I just set up a new email for each of them then created each one an ancestry account.

GDPR?  That's how Ancestry used to operate but has had to change due to the new GDPR regulations and why each user should open their own account.
