Collins family from Sussex and Kent.

Please does anyone have any info on the ascendants of Francis Collins born c1831 Patcham,Sussex and his wife Anne Sanders/Saunders born c1831 Chichester.They married 20/09/1852 Marden,Kent.Her father was William Sanders.Im keen to go back as far as i can in both Francis and Annes family.
Also they had a son Thomas born c1863 Icklesham,Sussex who married Mary??? born 1860 Dartford.Children:

Frank b1889 Southborough
Janette b1891 Crowborough
Rosey b1893 Hadlow
Rob b1895 Southborough
Mary b1889 Maidstone
Esther b1902 Maidstone

Im trying to find out who Thomas wife Mary was.

Register with the GRO.  https://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/certificates/Login.asp

Look up the children's births to get Mother's maiden name.

Hi Nelwild, just to get you going Esther  the daughter of Thomas/Mary was Esther Harriett Sarah Collins born Milton reg district Kent and her mothers maiden name was DUNAWAY.

Thanks for the reply.I am registered on the GRO site,but i cant find any births that look right to me.One or two possibilities,but no consistent surname coming up.

Sorry we crossed John.I will see if i can find any others with Dunaway.Not a Traveller name that im familiar with,but you never know.

Im not sure that is Esther.Theres also a Charles Williams James b1903 Milton.To be honest,in my experience,the use of multiple middle names was unusual amongst Travellers back then.It doesnt feel right to me.

Jane (1890, not 1891) baptism? She would be more likely be 9 in 1901 if b in 1891.

Cant find any of them on the 1891.I did wonder about doing a name and place of birth search for Mary,but that wont be easy with a different place of birth given on these 3 census.
