George Bewick Eleanor Jopling married 1764 Chester le Street

These seem to be furthest back of my relatives - great x5 grandparents. Has anyone been able to trace either of these individuals any further back? Or any other information?

There is a baptism for Eleanor on 3 May 1741 at Chester Le Street, father is Samuel Jopling.

Looks like she had three siblings Ann 1736, John 1739 and Margaret 1743.

If you can get back a long way Chester-le-Street is a good place to be. Records start in 1582.

Do you think that tree might be wrong ??
says Eleanor born 1745 - that is 4 years after the baptism you found - so - James Jopling not Samuel as father - 
wild guess- do you think Susannah Robinson could have married Samuel AND James if one of them died ??
if not - there is something wrong with that tree - what do you think ??

Personally I am always wary of trees on the internet.  As you probably know so many of these trees can be barking up the wrong branch 

If there is a source given for the information, i.e. a reference for the christening say, with where it is located, then it would be worth checking. No source means it could have come from anywhere, i.e. someone else's tree 

The one on Find My Past was the only one that looked likely.  There were only two 'possibles' in the time frame and the earlier one was 1681, much too early.  All the others were in the 1800's, well past when she married. These were all in Durham county.
