Not sure where to put this request. "Looking for Birth Certificate"
Way back in 2012 I posted a request for info on the Birth of Gertrude Goldstein. We did'nt really come to any conclusion, but I have returned to this brick wall and have found some mislaid notes.
Her MC to Hyman Mendle 1913 in Liverpool states 1892. Since found out their first child was born in October 1913. Conclusion Gertrude was pregnant and lied about her age so she would be 21.
The 1939 gives dob as 29/02/1895 and her DC in 1948 states 28/02/1895. The 1911 Liverpool gives Birth St. Georges in the East, London 1893.
Her mother was Leah Goldstein (neč Labisky) and father David Goldstein (d.1910 Liverpool)
On GRO cannot find a birth using a span of 2 years either side with mother Labisky + variations of spelling. Someone years ago someone wrote me and said there was a "Godallia" Goldstein b. 1893 1st. qtr St. George in the East, but did'nt give me mothers name. Cannot find that one in the GRO.
I did find her brothers birth eventually in 1898 Whitechapel with mother Leibiski which means they were already in the UK. No passengers lists found.
Complication also is from an Salford Aliens Register 1941 mother Leah states she came to the UK in 1910. Her previous Aliens Register in 1918 Liverpool was lost in the bombing in WWI. Never found another Census other than the 1911.
