If it's not too much trouble Candy, that would be great.  :D

Trouble is, they could be almost anywhere, Joseph and his family had obviously been in E Stonehouse for several years before 1841 since all Joseph's children were born there, and by 1861 all the children have married and moved in the general direction of London.  There are a lot of Hortons in Warwickshire as well and all I definitely know at the moment, is that neither Thomas nor Joseph was born in Devon!  ;D which doesn't narrow it down very much!

However..... if you want to have a try, it will be very much appreciated - otherwise I'm still waiting for Ancestry to get a nationwide 1851 index up and running....

Thanks Veron  :D

Hi Candy, that's really nice of you but I think that this Thomas is probably too young. The 1841 one has his age given as 65, and in that census they rounded down to the nearest 5 years which would make him at least 75 by 1851.  I think that it's more likely that he would either still be with Joseph in 1851, or he would have died by then - but who knows!

I really want to find Joseph, with the younger children, to positively identify Joseph's place of birth, because all the evidence I have so far about Birmingham is a bit circumstantial.  Please do look though, you never can tell - oh yes, and if the Birmingham Joseph is the right one, his second wife is from Hull isn't she! - so he obviously got about a bit!  :-\

Cheers Veron
