Caroline, sounds like a lovely day out despite any restrictions. I'm with your OH on the heights issue!  :o  It's not the name  Framlingham that sounds familiar, it's Aldburgh, still can't think why.

Annette, it's good that you are managing to venture out more.

Viktoria - poor little Flash Harry!  :'( How thoughtful of the hospital staff to make him laugh, they're all so kind aren't they?

(Nothing from Mowsehowse on Tuesday diary, hope all is well.

Thankyou Roobarb , it was nasty and dirt in it too, but he gets over things quickly, he was tired ( never still all day) so cried a lot on the way to the hospital .
Decided to alter the new curtains today, theybare a bold check and the bottom edge hem was not equal so it was driving me bad as a bold stripe was an inch out and very noticeable .
All unpicked and pinned whilst hanging  to  be exact, hand sewing tomorrow.
Just going to phone my husband’s sister for a chat.
She never phones out , nor answers messages but he would not want me to
break contact ,she looked after their mother in her( si in l ‘s ) house for 14 years, did too much too soon and never had a day off as M in L would not have anyone else to look after her.
Mother in Law lived to 105 !
She lost two of her sons to age related illness yet she trundled on.
Wet and dull day except speaking to a neighbour over the fence and a lovely apricot cockapoo came along the lane, collar but no identification ,
sorted by neighbour putting it on the local” What’s on”,
It had got out through a weak place in their fence where a fire had damaged
it from their neighbour’s side.
So ended well, but the dog is going to be neutered next week, maybe he knows!  ::)
No real news so a cuppa whilst I chat to the girl who was my bridesmaid -
the one and only as my best friend - the second one - was stuck in the IOM
as no sailings due to bad weather.
So goodnight all.Viktoria.

Poor Flash Harry Viktoria- hope he recovers soon... it's amazing how quick they bounce back but Nast place to get an injury... nice of the hospital staff to cheer him up... they're so good at that...
Our group has made lots of scrubs for children's wards and clinics all bright and cheerful... Thomas the tank engine, pepper pig etc, the even made PE for a soft toy puffin to enable children still to handle it..
Hope you manage to get your curtains sorted...
58 years is a very long time..... got some way to get there... if we're still around!

Roobarb- not sure about Aldburgh... coukd it be anything to do with the festival that's held there....

Annette - good to hear you're getting more confident about going out and about.... you're braver than I am!... so far.

Well Roobarb, I had a taste of nasty neighbours this afternoon.
My son came with some shopping, he drops it off and does not come in,just chats a moment or two but not today as he had something to do and there was nowhere to park .
A little further down the road a newish couple have removed the front fence, had a lowered kerb put in and park in their front garden as they have a trades van and car.

My son could not find anywhere ,so did park by the  lowered kerb, the woman came out and berated him,he said  sorry but I am not staying and will be only two minutes.
She said she would report him ,he said you must do as you think fit but  I’ll be gone probably before you get through, ran up to me three doors up, ran back and drove off.
Half an hour later her husband came hammering in my door, screaming and swearing thatI did not own the street ,he had paid for the dropped kerb and if my son wanted to tackle anybody he could take him on ! etc etc.
I said my son had explained, was polite and literally was two minutes only.
Whew I was shaking like a leaf but I kept calm and was polite.
Checked with son as to what I thought I had heard ,and yes I had heard properly.
The woman said she was going out in a short while but actually did not leave at all.
This is one of the families that have not observed any rules throughout lockdown.zThdy are building an extension and all weekends, starting very early they have mixers etc, workmen talking loudly ,vans and lorries have churned up the lane so it is almost impassable ,it is a short  cut  to school too.
Well after about two hours of quiet activity I settled down , but I can only assume his wufe exaggerated what my son said ,but I heard from my step where I was waiting -the house is only three   doors  from mine.
So I know what was said .

Ah well belligerent neighbour has shown himself up .
But I thought of Roobarb , I will now have to take my own advice won’t I!

Curtains now have a nice level hem and matching stripes.

The threatened heatwave this afternoon did not come ,just a bit sultry.
Think tomorrow is supposed to be hot.
Hope everyone is OK, I am now but was shaken ,it was so belligerent and violent ,no need to be so  really, an explanation was given two minutes there
and gone .
My daughter in law told my son he should have said he was my key contact
etc.,which he is really , but never mind .
Cheerio everyone ,I don’t seem to be getting all your posts, always a delay of notification too.
Cheerio, off for a cuppa and kitchen tidy ,no other way round !
I will enjoy my cuppa better then.
Morse then bed.
Viktoria.

I had a conversation with my husband recently, increasing owners are allowed to drop their curbs to use as a car run on, we have had 2 more done recently, as a consequence every time we go out I am worried we cannot park outside our house, we can park a car on the front but the reason we paved our front was because I got fed up with cats leaving  a mess on my lawn not to park the car, why are councils allowing so any dropped curbs?, soon there will be nowhere to park and the same situation  will keep happening as it has done to Viktoria's son, i for park on my front if I can't park elsewhere outside

Oh Viktoria, I'm so sorry to hear about that, what a dreadful experience. The man who accosted you sounds like a right bully and they say that all bullies are cowards at heart, well I think he's that as well. If he wanted to sound off he should have spoken to your son either at the time or on his next visit,  I'm sure your son would have dealt with him calmly in the way he did with the woman. Instead he comes and picks on a lady who has done nothing wrong, obviously because he thought he could intimidate you.He certainly has shown himself up and well done to you for keeping calm despite shaking like a leaf.

Hope you enjoy Morse and can sleep well.

Try not to worry about it to disturb your nights sleep, you need to be calm before you go to bed, night night Viktoria

Thanks everyone, it takes a lot to get me down ,there  was  a lot I could have said but he was beyond reason .
At least I did not show he had upset me,and Morse is on soon so ready for bed,  cuddled in my dressing gown , another nice cuppa and anyway the neighbour is an ugly man ,truly ugly ,I don’t feel sorry for him though!
Sleep well,I will ,mind you it will be after two O’Clock when Morse finishes .
Cheerio.
Viktoria.

Viktoria - Dear me what is the matter with people being so unneighbourly.... can't believe you were treated to such an abusive tirade by a bullying oaf... well done you for not backing down and staying calm despite what you felt inside... Roobarbs right about him being cowardly too... dreadful behaviour...
Hope you're able to settle down to some lovely Morse and a good nights sleep...
