Ferguson's and Murray's
« on: Thursday 06 August 20 00:06 BST (UK) »
Hello all, I am researching my aunt and uncles family trees, and I need a little help finding out info about their parents and grandparents. They are both living, born in the 1950s.
My uncles parents were John Ferguson and Agnes.
My aunts parents were Robert Murray 1920-? and Elizabeth 1928-?.
My uncle came from New Cumnock, I'm not sure about his parents.
My aunt and her father came from Tarbolton, I'm not sure about her mother.
My uncles father died in Tarbolton.

Thats all the info I have.

Index of births on ScotlandsPeople has this birth registration. You may have to get your Aunt and Uncle to buy some credits so you can purchase some certificates which will give you the parents names and occupations.
Robert Murray 1920 registration district Tarbolton ref 619/ 33

Your Aunts and Uncles birth certificates should give the full names of  both their parents. Do they have them?

Do your Aunt & Uncle have middle names which might give us a clue?

The 1932 marriage sounds a bit early for 1950's births.

Can you ask your uncle and aunt for the details of their parents on their birth certificates or don't  you want them to know you are doing this research for them?
