She is in several trees on Ancestry, but 1881 seems to be the last bit of information revealed.
This might mean that she never married or lived with anyone and/or never had children who came looking for her.

Get the will and see what that says.

Yes will have to order a will, I searched for a marriage/death on GRO site and the FreeBMD site found nothing.

Thank you for looking

In Jun 1897 the license of the Juniper Merry was tranferred to a Mr Arthur Cleophios Wakeford according to the Hampshire Advertiser.

Just out of curiosity have you got Matilda anywhere on 1871 census, can't find her myself. I notice that in 1881 whilst in her fathers home she is not recorded with an occupation, wondered if 1871 might give a clue!

As yet cannot find Matilda in 1871.

Is this Matilda, under the name Margaret, with grandfather John Bartlett and sisters Louisa and Beatrice (recorded as B U)?

The transcribed surname is Bloise but looking at the image it looks like Blore to me.

1871 Census - Northwood, Isle of Wight
Margaret Blore, aged 21, born London.
