Samuel and Ruth Varley Family History

Samuel Varley married Ruth Shaw in 1873, and lived their married life in Wilsden. According to the family Bible, between 1873 and 1890, there were 9 children, of which only Reuben had died by the time of 1911 Census. However the original of 1911 census for those still living at home in West View Cottage, Wilsden and signed by Ruth, shows total number of children born as 10, 8 still living and 2 who have died.
Can anybody say for certain if there was a 10th and who this might be

If they lived in Wilsden, they won't be registering kids in Huddersfield.

It'll be Bradford/ Keighley /Skipton or somewhere.

Can Peter tell us what registration district it should be from known kids?

So the one we are after probably died in infancy and does not appear on census. Reuben is the only one in your list that died before 1911.

Known childrens births are Bradford RD

All 9 of the children were born in the district of Bradford, however, during the 1890's that part of Bradford changed its district to North Bierley, which lasted well into the next century
