His mother moved to Detroit after 1939 and died there as did some of his children. Therefore we assume strong links continued in Detroit after the family came back to UK in 1932

I think Hector's mother Ann Clacher is in Detroit in the 1930 census with his sisters Ann, Agnes and Alice. His brother in law Daniel Campbell also lived in Detroit per James Paul Clacher's 1946 draft registration.

Yes that is correct they are details we have for his children all of which have now died and there are no clues at present from them or thier estates / documents
If it helps anyone I can list the children dates partners etc butI did not want to over load the intial question i e . where did Hector die and is he buried?

Yes she and her children went there in 1927. She came back here  on 1 Jan 1931 arriving on 11 Jan 1931 at Liverpool. In 1940 she was a widow and back in Michigan living with her daughter Alice and Alice's husband Cazpar Lozon.
Thats one of the principle reasons why we think Hector went back to USA after 1935 (thanks to ev's find today) leaving his family here in the UK.
