You are marvellous, gaffy. I think that is Matilda, nee Lennox. It all fits. And aghadowney, thank you, I had found those three children, but didn't know if there were more. I have just checked and didn't find more.
So much for the tree that says that Matilda died in Los Angeles.
Thanks again, Gaffy.

... I have already looked for Maggie's marriage but it was not on irishgenealogy.ie. The obit doesn't say son-in-law's name ...

The GRONI website shows a Magherafelt registered marriage that took place on 16 February 1927 between a Thomas Purvis and a Margaret Donaghey, I only mention it because the Mid Ulster Mail of 25 September 1948 carried an account of the funeral of Francis Matthew Purvis of Megargy, Magherafelt, described as the youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. Thos. Purvis.

Two of the mourners mentioned were William Donaghy and Thomas Donaghy, described as uncles.

You are amazing, Gaffy. That ties everything together. Now we can be sure that Maggie Donaghy married Thomas Purvis and that is where David and Matilda died.

Don't know what I was doing wrong when searching previously, but it's there OK, registered Magherafelt, reported age was 67.

I read that marvellous obit for Francis Matthew Purvis which names a multitude of relatives. That will keep me busy for a while sorting everyone out.
As for Matilda, she was born 1874 so should be 71 in 1945. Never the less, that is her death.
