Ravenfield St Mary, Mexborough?
« on: Wednesday 19 August 20 10:26 BST (UK) »
Hello, on Findmypast there are parish records for a 'Ravenfield, St Mary'. A relative of mine was buried there in 1719 and describes himself (in his will) as being of Ravenfield, Mexborough.

I'm slightly confused about the dedication of this church because the only one I can find is a St James's in Ravenfield, which was a chapelry in the parish of Mexborough.

Was this church ever known as St Mary's or is this a Findmypast error?

Thanks for any help

FindMyPast also have the National burial index which is showing the same burials - that says it is St James.
