Catherine daughter Of John Huxley (Miller) Married Edward Armsden 22 June 1860, his occupation coachman. He was 25 and she said she was 21  ::)

She married in 1860 but we think she is with her parents and aunt/uncle in 1861  ::)

ARMSDEN, EDWARD       mmn HUXLEY
GRO Reference: 1861  Sept Quarter in CARNARVON  Volume 11B  Page 456
Deaths Jun qtr 1874
ARMSDEN    Edward    age 13    Carnarvon    11b   356

1871 RG10/5716 f82 p19 with husband and children

1881  RG11/5566 f69 p17 with husband and children.  Also there an Elizabeth Huxley a servant who would 'fit' as being the daughter of John & Ann.

....

All that is discounting 'your' Catherine as being the daughter of Samuel/Ann is the mention of Rogers on a death certificate.  John & Ann's daughter is clearly still in Wales in 1881

great! after speaking with my family Catherine Huxley Hughes is definitely the daughter of Samuel Huxley making Ann Williams her mother. as for the name on the death certificate, Catherine's death was reported by her son John who was born in the US in 1883 and most likely never met his grandmother.

Trish you mentioned that there was a baptism record for Ann Williams in llanbeblig in 1806. dragonT responded that the findmypast entry listed her parents as Grif. Williams a yeoman and Margaret Williams.
