McNEILL-The Officers and Members of the Dock Unionist Association deeply regret the death of the Wife of their Water Board Representative, Mr. Joseph McNeill, J.P., and Mother of their esteemed President, Mr Austin McNeill, and tender their deepest sympathy.

Here's the  marriage in 1919:

This looks like Joseph McNeill and his painter father Hugh and rest of the family in 1911 at Summer Street:

Death of Mary Ann Pollock, Hugh McNeill's mother-in-law in 1912. The informant was her daughter Mary McNeill.

There are various newspaper references to indicate that Joseph McNeill and family were quite distinguished in the local context, for example this from 1965: O.B.E.: Mr. Joseph McNeill, of Redlands, Helen's Bay, Co. Down, who has been honoured for services to Ulster's potato industry, has been chairman of the Potato Marketing Association for over ten years. He is the Ulster merchant member on the liaison committee to the Potato Marketing Board in England and joint chairman of the advisory committee to the Northern Ireland Seed Potato Board.  Mr McNeill is a Belfast Water Commissioner and a director of Hugh T. Barrie Ltd., the Belfast seed and potato exporting firm.

Other references are, I suspect, to children of the aforementioned Joseph and might still be living (and therefore I can't name them here in line with website policy), if I'm right, one daughter was a personal secretary to Lord Brookeborough and Captain Terence O'Neill, and a younger one was an Almoner at the Royal Victoria Hospital. Will wait for the OP to respond in case this is all barking up the wrong tree...

I was told he had an OBE and had a potato seed business but could find no reference to him which I was surprised .
Thankyou again

When James McCreanor married Susanna Bennett at Lisburn in 1879, the marriage registration (at Reply #2) showed him as 20 years old, residing at 'Longstone', his father John McCreanor described as 'alive'.

A married man called John McCreanor of Longstone St. in Lisburn died in 1904 at a reported age of 71:
https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/deaths_returns/deaths_1904/05631/4584335.pdf

That reads across to this family in 1901:
http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1901/Antrim/Lisburn/Longstone_Street/1001231/

Margaret McCreanor in the above 1901 census return died in 1912:
https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/deaths_returns/deaths_1912/05360/4494420.pdf

The following birth registration for Henry McCreanor in the above 1901 census return shows the parents as John McCreanor and Margaret Dickson of Longstone:
https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/birth_returns/births_1873/03214/2178752.pdf

Same parents for the daughter Alice shown in the above 1901 census return:
https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/birth_returns/births_1867/03478/2278043.pdf

John McCreanor married Margaret Dickson at Lisburn in 1858, the two fathers recorded as William McCreanor and Isaac Dickson:
https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/marriage_returns/marriages_1858/09552/5463311.pdf

So I'm guessing that the 20 year old James McCreanor who married Susanna Bennett in 1879 may be an early, if not the first, child of John McCreanor and Margaret Dickson.
